About You:

Are you an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) looking for a role with flexibility and competitive pay? Medacs Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join the Middle and South Essex NHS trust. As a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients with various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, eating disorders, paranoia, psychosis, schizophrenia, and more.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored support plans for patients based on their specific diagnosis.
  • Arranging ongoing, long-term support for patients' post-care.
  • Building trusting relationships with patients, offering advice and reassurance.
  • Collaborating with doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, and social workers to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Advising relatives and carers on patient conditions, treatment, and progress.
  • Keeping medical records up to date.
  • Conducting standard physical health checks and administering medications.
  • Discussing available therapies, support networks, and social activities to improve mental health and wellbeing.
  • Managing workloads and shift patterns.
  • Promoting mental health initiatives and reducing stigma associated with mental health.
  • Staying updated with mental health best practices and theories.

Essential Qualifications:

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 5) with:

  • NMC Registration.
  • At least 2 years post-graduate experience.
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
  • The ability to pass an enhanced background check.
