The Opportunity As a Safety Manager , you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the delivery of safety engineering outputs across multiple high-impact projects. Working within a matrix organisation, you’ll liaise with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of safety analyses and reports. Your Role Lead the creation of high-quality safety cases, hazard analyses, and other engineering outputs. Collaborate with design engineers, project controllers, and customers to ensure compliance with safety requirements. Balance time, cost, and technical constraints to deliver robust safety solutions. Develop tailored safety cases based on system understanding and operating context. Mentor and support engineers at all levels, helping to shape the next generation of safety experts. What We’re Looking For A proven leader with strong interpersonal and influencing skills. Extensive knowledge of UK and international safety standards, particularly Def Stan 00-056. Demonstrated experience in delivering safety cases and supporting documentation. Passion for developing others and fostering a collaborative team environment. Solid understanding of safety integration within systems engineering and certification processes. Familiarity with complex electronic systems or similar engineering disciplines. Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ideally, degree qualified or equivalent experience. Please note: Security clearance will be required, including BPSS checks.
