Expectations of the Role: As a Junior Software Tester with a focus on Android and mobile applications, you will assist the team in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile apps. Working closely with developers and senior testers, you’ll learn to identify issues, enhance user experiences, and ensure seamless app functionality with our IoT product. Key responsibilities include: * Conducting manual testing of mobile applications, with a strong emphasis on Android platforms. * Collaborating with the development team to understand app functionality and requirements. * Assisting in the creation and execution of test plans and test cases. * Reporting and documenting bugs or defects, and verifying their resolution. * Performing basic usability testing to enhance the user experience. * Learning compatibility testing across multiple Android devices and operating system versions. * Gaining hands-on experience with testing tools and methodologies. Education & Experience: We welcome applications from individuals at the start of their careers alongside those with a career in testing, who are eager to grow in the field of software testing: * A degree, diploma, or certification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred but not required (equivalent practical experience will also be considered). * Familiarity with Android applications and their functionality is a plus. * Basic understanding of software testing concepts (e.g., test cases, bug reporting). * An interest in IoT devices and mobile application testing. * Experience with tools like JIRA or similar is desirable but not essential. * Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to learning. * Strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring quality.
