We are seeking six Sheet Detail Fitters to join Hamble Aerostructures Limited, a leading aerospace organisation. This role involves working with sheet metals, including bending, shaping, and forming processes, to produce high-quality aerospace components.
What will I be doing?
- Interpreting engineering drawings, repair schemes, and manufacturing procedures.
- Performing hand/machine-aided forming techniques to create components.
- Operating machinery such as stretch forming machines and rolling machines.
- Fabricating metal components using techniques like bending, cutting, shrinking, and stretching.
- Completing route cards for traceability and complying with EHS and COSHH regulations.
What do I need to succeed?
- You have a relevant NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Expertise in TIG welding, particularly with aluminum alloys.
- Certification equivalent to BCAR A8-10 or relevant aerospace standards.
- Proven ability to interpret engineering documents and evaluate components.
- BPSS clearance required and adherence to ITAR restrictions.
