About The Role Orbis Education and Care are seeking a dedicated and passionate support worker to join our compassionate and energetic team at our Summergil Home, and we want you to be part of our mission. A typical day will include: As a Support Worker at Summergil, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our young people, supporting their daily activities, educational needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a magnificent team including teachers, therapists and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. We offer a variety of on-site and off-site activities tailored to meet individual needs and interests. These include sensory play, arts & crafts, nature walks, swimming, and horse riding. On-site, we use our outdoor spaces, therapeutic environments, and personalised rooms to create a comfortable, homely atmosphere. We also focus on community-based activities with regular trips to local attractions such as parks, shopping trips, and themed events. Responsibilities: Provide personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning and social interactions. Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person. Implement individualisedcare plans, under the guidance of an incredibly supportive senior team. Support our young people during recreational activities, outings and community integration. Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation. Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our young people, celebrating their achievementsand milestones. Sound good so far?
