About your next employer

VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading Public Sector employer based in Ballymena in their recruitment of an Interim Accountant. This is initially an interim contract role for a period of 6 months and will work closely with the wider finance team with a focus on specialist projects centralised around cost reduction initiatives. This role will work closely with non-finance staff, understanding significant drivers and preparing & presenting reports to senior management.

About you

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to interact with non-finance staff
  • Strong MS Excel capabilities
  • Available at short notice

What you'll do

  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports, ensuring accuracy
  • Analyse large volumes of financial data to identify trends, anomalies and insights that support business decisions
  • Maintain and improve data management systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
  • Support in delivering month end reporting
  • Project accounting
