A new opportunity has arisen for Chef to work in the kitchen at Galanos House. We have a full time and part time contract available. We are looking for someone to work shifts flexibly over a 7 day period, some weekend working will be required. You will work with Head chef to deliver the catering services within the home, maintaining a high standard of food provision and service to the residents, staff and visitors. Educated to NVQ 3 Cooking or equivalent and an immediate food hygiene certificate, you will have experience of catering management in a care home or similar environment for large number of people and experience of catering to meet special dietary requirements. In addition, you will be an effective communicator and have experience of leading a team and the management of stock control. Previous experience of maintaining standards within Catering Department according to Health & Safety and Food Safety Act and good IT skills are essential.
