We are partnered with a pioneering startup at the forefront of the techbio, blending computation & biology in oncology. They are a tight-knit, passionate team dedicated to advancing science and developing innovative solutions to transform anti-cancer drug development.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development professional with a proven background in building partnerships in the USA and EU t o create a strategy, lead a business development life cycle, and secure partnerships. These partnerships will be focused on biopharma companies, emerging biotechs, and academic institutions, with a focus on Oncology Clinical Trials.
Focused on services that utilize a combination of in vivo, invitro and molecular testing, designed to help pharmaceutical and biotech companies speed up their R&D process, reduce costs, and increase the chances of bringing more effective oncology drugs to market. This is a unique model, already creating traction and a building pipeline.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading business development and partnership strategies, contributing significantly to the company's growth.
You can be based in the UK and must have the proven background of building and securing partnerships in the USA. The role will involve travel to Paris and the USA often.
Responsibilities and key skills required for the role:
- Define a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and partnerships
- Strategic, solution lead or out-the-box thinker, able to structure model offerings for specific client needs
- Leverage an extensive network and industry expertise to source, evaluate, and negotiate partnership agreements.
- Independently develop and evolve materials for external interface (BD deck, external communications, business conferences).
- Secure deals with established biopharma companies, emerging biotechs, and academic institutions.
- Cross-functional collaboration will be key to working closely with R&D, scientifically minded professionals to establish a strategy that aligns with the company’s overall vision and milestones
Key Qualifications suited for the position:
- Have a business lead background, ideally an MBA and have transitioned into the life sciences industry.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development within the life sciences industry.
- Demonstrated track record of driving successful initiatives and delivering outstanding result.
- Preference for experience with technology or data platform businesses. AI and/or data analytics experience would be a plus.
- Ability to travel to Paris and the USA.
- English speaking is required
