An industry leading manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. Joining at a time of company expansion, you will be tasked with carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of plant machinery to ensure production times are met and that machinery works to maximum efficiency with minimum downtime. Candidates are sought who are electrically qualified and have previous experience working in an industrial environment.
The Role
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on plant machinery, equipment and facilities.
- Carry out planned maintenance activities in line with the maintenance schedule.
- Identify and resolve any technical issues that could affect production efficiency.
- Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Working and partnering with contractors.
- Adopt and promote continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring all machinery operates safely.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to upgrade and improve existing systems and machinery.
- Ensure the PPM schedules are adhered to.
The Person
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Electrically qualified.
- Good knowledge of reading electrical drawings, technical manuals and instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
