Production Technicians in Norwich earn £31,878 (increasing to £36,128) after training. The role involves working 2 days (6am - 6pm) and 2 nights (6pm – 6am) with 4 days off.

Staffing Innovations is collaborating with a superb manufacturing company leading the way in its field. As an experienced Production Technician, you will be primarily responsible for controlling and monitoring the operation of the plant to specified conditions, reporting on Factory KPIs and Shift reports. You will need to operate, control, monitor and measure plant, equipment and products in specified conditions and to strict quality standards. Teamwork and flexibility are fundamental requirements. The shift teams will work closely and collaboratively to ensure maximum efficiency. This will require each member of the team to undertake all tasks within their capability, including Press Operational duties and include raw material handling, auto-bulk take out, silo, bin filling and emptying operations, packing duties, quality checks and cleaning.

The role of Production Technician will involve:

  • Taking ownership of health and safety for yourself and others at work. Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and encourage safe working practices at all times.
  • Ensuring all machines and equipment are kept in a clean, safe and hygienic condition and that machines are kept in good running order by reporting all faults to the Engineer.
  • Responsible for production on the shift – raw materials, end product, packing, palletisation, machine care and the condition of work areas.
  • Washing dies and checking for cleanliness and damage. Selecting and changing specified dies as required.
  • Ensuring the product is being processed in accordance with the specification.
  • Checking and measuring product dimensions and adjusting machinery where necessary. Taking remedial action to meet specified standards.
  • Maintaining and recording plant conditions on the relevant paperwork.
  • Selecting raw ingredients and mixing quantities for each of the different products. Activating automatic filling/mixing cycle and the correct operation of the bulk handling system.
  • Liaison with Quality Team.
