The key priorities for the role are:
- Monthly Performance/Trading Analysis
- Work with the Senior Finance Business Partners to prepare a monthly reporting pack. This is to provide Leadership Teams with actual performance versus target and lead indicators for future performance.
- Prepare Business cases for both customers and Claranet.
- Under the guidance of the Senior Finance Business Partner, support with staff capitalisation tracking and reporting.
- Deal Modelling
- Working with the FP&A Senior Manager to prepare contract renewals and new deal financial models.
- Working alongside Order Processing team to ensure orders are built correctly into systems.
- Commission
- Under the guidance of the Senior Finance Business Partner, calculate commission payments based on the approved commission plan.
- Ensure these are approved in line with group policy.
- Issue commission statements to the Sales teams.
- Investigate and resolve queries on commission.
- Profitability Analysis
- Under the guidance of the FP&A Senior Manager, produce Customer P&Ls for key customers showing the true profitability of these accounts.
- Under the guidance of the FP&A Senior Manager, calculate and report on service profitability showing true profitability of the products and services Claranet sell.
- Under the guidance of the FP&A Senior Manager, calculate Practice profitability.
- Support on the budget and forecast process.
- Assist with the bi-annual forecasting processes, working with different parts of the business as required.
- Business Support
- Provide support and analysis as required to other members of the FP&A team.
- Under the guidance of the Senior Finance Business Partner assist with the completion and presentations of ad hoc projects as required.
- Under the guidance of the Senior Finance Business Partner assist in the automation of data preparation and reporting.
Position Specifications
Essential:
- Either CIMA, ACCA or ACA part qualified.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance role in Industry or Practice.
- Strong Excel skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks.
- Can do attitude and a willingness to be hands on.
- Ability to present information in a concise and professional manner.
- Must be comfortable working with a high degree of change and ambiguity.
- Ability to manage a diverse workload in a fast-moving environment.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a technology business would be an advantage, preferably within the managed services or Cloud industries.
- Experience with Salesforce would be an advantage.
