As the Program Manager you will provide professional project management services in support of the development, award, and delivery of automated solutions for a program of projects across Europe. You will be the lead for a number of projects for one of our customers and will provide guidance, support, coordination and governance to Project Managers assigned to individual projects. You will have responsibility, authority, and accountability for ensuring that all project management is undertaken in accordance with the client's and TGW’s processes and contractual agreements.
What you’ll be handling:
- Build a relationship with the Client to foster trust and maintain TGWs excellent position
- Be the 1st escalation internally or for the client
- Provide direction and support to Project Management team
- Ensure the clients specifications are met across multiple projects
- Implement processes to ensure the Project Managers can deliver the projects with a consistent approach
- Managing the commercial and technical risks of the project
- Managing project resources within agreed budgets and timescales
- Ensure project completion, acceptance and handover criteria have been achieved as per TGWs contractual obligations
- Be the primary customer interface on a day-to-day basis
- Managing proposed changes to the agreed project scope, timescales, and budgets
- Define quality expectations and targets
- Ensure the project implementation objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner in respect of cost and schedule, in accordance with TGW’s project, quality and safety procedures
- Identify project risks and determine mitigation actions or contingency plans with timely reporting and management
- Compliance to TGW policies and guidelines with engagement of Business Support Functions including Global Mobility
What you’ll need:
Essential:
- Proven track record as Senior Project Manager responsible for multiple complicated intralogistics projects
- Experience of leading and managing project teams
- Articulate with good customer facing and leadership skills
- English language written and spoken at business level
- Ability to work away from home across Europe and UK. For guidance up to 50% of working days away from home during a year, with flexibility to be on site full time at peak times in projects
- History of working on high complexity, high value projects
Desirable:
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Programme management
- Formal Project Management qualifications and exposure to Prince 2, PMI, APM or other formal project management methodologies
- A background in engineering automation industry
