The Role:
Due to recent major project wins, our client is currently recruiting for a Project Manager for their site based in St Helens. The roles will be office based for the start of the role and then will be moved onto site on various locations across the UK.
Duties will include:
- Managing all aspects of the project process including initial consultations with customers, preparation of delivery schedules, project resourcing requirements, running of tests through to final project sign off.
- Managing the project delivery team including Site Managers, Supervisors, mechanical and electrical installation teams and sub contractors to ensure the project is delivered on time and to budget.
- Directing and monitoring logistics on site.
- Managing the implementation of all plant and machinery.
- Creation and implementation of risk assessments and method statements.
- Attending regular meetings with the client.
- Updating Contracts Managers and Directors on project progress.
- Ensuring health and safety is adhered to on a daily basis.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Mechanical Site Project Manager.
- Prior background in heavy industrial sector.
- CSCS card.
- SMSTS certificate.
- HND or equivalent in mechanical engineering / construction.
- Excellent people management skills and a proven ability to manage teams.
- Ability to make quick decisions and find solutions if any issues or problems arise.
- Ability to deal with complex tasks and deliver them to a set budget and timescale.
- Ability to build relationships with clients.
- Clear communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail - accurate and methodical in work.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
