Oliver Rae are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing business in the Black Country. As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will oversee the design and implementation of production processes within the machine shop, ensuring optimal efficiency and high-quality output. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvements to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and maintain exceptional manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities:
- Review and optimise production plans to minimise setup times and maximise efficiency.
- Ensure clarity and accuracy of route card instructions and technical drawings for seamless execution.
- Manage tooling requirements, including cutting tips, drills, taps, and other essential equipment.
- Analyse and report on production processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Develop and maintain structured program vaults for CNC machines to enhance consistency and precision.
- Conduct audits and verifications to ensure employees adhere to route card instructions and established procedures.
- Evaluate and forecast tooling and equipment costs, assessing future production overheads and resource needs.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules to minimise downtime and align with production demands.
Qualification/experience:
- Manufacturing Engineer experience is preferred.
- Program writing is essential.
- Solidworks or similar experience.
- Must be computer literate.
