We are seeking an experienced, talented Furniture Consultant with sales experience to join our dynamic team. As a Furniture Consultant, you will play a key role in assisting our clients in selecting and sourcing furniture solutions that align with their design preferences, functional requirements, and budget constraints. Expertise in furniture design, procurement, project management is ideal and will be instrumental in ensuring the successful integration of furniture elements into our construction projects and delivering furniture only projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, interior designers and project managers to understand furniture requirements for each project.
  • Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to identify their preferences, needs and budget for furniture selection.
  • Research and source furniture options from a variety of manufacturers, considering factors such as quality, style, price and lead time.
  • Create detailed furniture proposals and presentations for clients, including itemised schedules, visual references and pricing information.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain quotes, samples and specifications for selected furniture pieces.
  • Manage and oversee the procurement process, including negotiating pricing, placing orders and tracking deliveries to ensure timely arrivals.
  • Provide expert advice on furniture suitability and ergonomic considerations to optimise functionality and aesthetics.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to integrate furniture installations seamlessly into overall project timelines.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to assess the client’s space to ensure proper placement and installation of furniture.
  • Stay informed about current trends, materials and technologies in the furniture industry to offer innovative solutions to clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Furniture Consultant or similar role within the design & build, construction industry or furniture dealership.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturers, design principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, manufacturers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must. Knowledge of Procore and HubSpot would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Process driven with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and the ability to translate client preferences into cohesive furniture solutions.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Remuneration: £55,000 basic salary + commission
