National Account Executive – Private Label | Peterborough | £40,000

Some commercial roles are all admin, spreadsheets and chasing people who don’t reply.

This isn’t one of them.

This is a chance to join a growing Private Label team inside an FMCG manufacturer — the kind of place where customers expect ideas, solutions and pace, not polite nodding and 74-page decks.

They design, make and launch products for major UK retailers (plus a growing international crowd). Innovation is the default, and the bar for service is set high. Which is why they need someone who can keep the wheels turning and push things forward.

What you’ll be doing (in real life, not just on paper):

  • Supporting and growing key retail accounts — working with Buyers, Technical, Product, Supply Chain and anyone else who needs a nudge
  • Spotting new product opportunities and helping customers build their brand
  • Pulling together costings, quotes, commercial proposals and the odd “can we sharpen this?” negotiation
  • Leading on customer presentations — and sending out meeting minutes that make sense
  • Keeping NPD projects moving (and knowing when to prod internal teams to keep them honest)
  • Managing briefs, tenders, forecasts, shortages, budget tracking and everything else that keeps customers happy and revenue predictable
  • Reviewing product performance post-launch so everyone learns something

Who this will suit:

  • Has managed or supported key retail accounts before
  • Gets a kick out of turning opportunities into revenue
  • Enjoys the beauty/health/personal care space
  • Can build relationships quickly — and maintain them even when things get busy
  • Is commercially sharp, organised, tenacious, and comfortable juggling 14 things before lunch
  • Knows their way around Microsoft Office without crying
