About the Role: We are seeking a qualified Solar PV Installer / Electrician to join our expanding renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and commissioning cutting edge lighting systems and solar PV systems across residential and commercial properties. This role requires a highly skilled individual who is passionate about renewable energy and committed to high-quality installations.
Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and commission commercial and industrial LED lighting and solar PV systems
- Ensure compliance with MCS, electrical, and health & safety regulations
- Work closely with project managers and clients to deliver installations efficiently
- Conduct site surveys, electrical assessments, and fault diagnostics
- Maintain and repair existing systems when required
- Lead and support a team of installers and apprentices
- Provide regular updates to the Operations Department
- Work nationwide, including overnight stays
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year experience as a qualified electrician
- MCS Accreditation (Solar PV experience preferred)
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Test and Inspection (preferred but not essential)
- ECS, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, PASMA certifications (advantageous)
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work nationwide and commute to Market Rasen on Mondays and Fridays
