Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Learning & Development (L&D) Business Partner to drive our talent development initiatives and learning culture within a national retail company. This role requires a proactive and consultative approach, partnering closely with business leaders to align learning strategies with overall business objectives. The L&D Business Partner will play a critical role in embedding a high-performance culture by designing and delivering impactful learning solutions that enhance business performance and employee growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner to senior business leaders, ensuring learning and development initiatives are aligned with key business priorities and long-term growth strategies, particularly sales growth and customer engagement.
- Support the L&D Manager in executing an L&D strategy that supports workforce development, capability building, and performance improvement across multiple retail locations.
- Collaborate with HR and operational leaders to assess current and future skill needs, translating them into actionable learning interventions that drive business success and profitability.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate high-impact learning programs that enhance employee engagement, leadership development, and career progression.
- Utilize data and analytics to assess learning effectiveness, demonstrating return on investment and making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on learning and development, change management, and talent strategies, ensuring that L&D initiatives support wider business transformation goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, embedding leadership and skills development into everyday business operations.
- Drive digital learning adoption and innovative training methods to enhance accessibility and scalability of learning initiatives.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in learning strategies, ensuring all employees have access to development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in L&D, preferably within a retail or fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align learning strategies with commercial objectives.
- Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, and leadership development programs.
- Ability to influence, coach, and build strong partnerships with senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and digital learning tools.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using learning metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Certification in L&D, coaching, or related areas desirable but not essential.
