We have an exciting opportunity based at our Bow site in London for a creative Packaging Developer.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Innovating and creating - Brainstorm with packaging suppliers to bring fresh, innovative ideas to life, ensuring our packaging solutions give us a competitive edge.
  • Bringing ideas to reality - Transform concepts into practical, commercial solutions that are both visually stunning and functionally effective.
  • Driving efficiency - Collaborate with our Group Purchasing team to integrate cost-saving efficiencies without compromising on quality.
  • Ensuring feasibility - Present and test your packaging designs in real-world production environments, ensuring they meet manufacturing and production requirements.
  • Championing sustainability - Stay ahead of industry trends and sustainability goals, integrating eco-friendly solutions into every design.
  • Showcasing your work - Attend customer product submissions to present your innovative proposals and bring them to life with compelling graphical mock-ups.
  • Supporting factory trials - Work closely with production teams to refine and perfect packaging designs for optimal performance.

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a packaging professional who can hit the ground running and bring fresh ideas to the table. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least two years’ experience in the food packaging industry.
  • Creative flair - A love for colour, graphic design, and eye-catching packaging.
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, Adobe Suite, or similar software is a big plus.
  • Technical expertise - Strong knowledge in at least one food packaging substrate, such as carton board, flexible films, or thermoform.
  • Problem-solving mindset - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think on your feet, and handle multiple projects at once.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills - Confidently present ideas and concepts to both internal teams and customers.
  • Hands-on approach - Capable of creating physical mock-ups and briefing suppliers with confidence.
