Key Responsibilities:
- Regular site visits, including investigations, walkovers, and monitoring.
- Managing geotechnical projects, coordinating with suppliers, and preparing health and safety documentation.
- Producing various geo-environmental reports, including Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigations, Remediation Strategies, Validation Reports, and Agricultural Land Classification Assessments.
- Engaging with clients and regulatory bodies.
Experience Goals:
- Logging soils according to current environmental guidelines.
- Utilising in-situ testing methods, including trial pitting, dynamic sampling, cable percussive drilling, auger drilling, and conventional rotary.
- Organising both chemical and geotechnical laboratory testing.
- Conducting site walkovers and performing a range of fieldwork tasks.
- Gaining experience in writing both factual and interpretive geo-environmental reports.
- Knowledge of geotechnical principles, including foundation design, slope stability, mining investigations, contaminated land, and planning.
- A strong willingness to learn and develop expertise in additional environmental disciplines as needed.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree in environmental, geotechnical, or soil science.
- At least 2 years of industry experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
