About the role

You will be working as part of a team under the direction of the Democratic and Leadership Support Lead Officer to provide administrative support for the scrutiny and democratic services function of the Council, including the preparation of agendas and minute taking for a number of committees, task groups and working parties together with other administrative tasks arising from these meetings. You will also help to organise civic events such as the Civic Remembrance Sunday Service.

About you

We are looking for someone with a knowledge of Local Government who has excellent team working skills and a can-do approach, with the ability to organise and prioritise their work. You will need to be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and diplomatic manner with councillors, officers at all levels and with members of the public.
