Job Title: Senior Ecologist Location: Manchester or Lichfield Salary:£30,000 PA, + Benefits (neg) Excellent opportunity for self-motivated and positive-minded Senior Ecologists to join a friendly team in either the Manchester or Lichfield offices. The successful applicant will be involved in all areas of our work, supporting clients in vast range of different sectors. Responsibilities include co-ordinating and undertaking protected species surveys and mitigation projects, advising clients of constraints and survey requirements and report writing. Skills & Experience Required: A full clean UK driving licence A degree or equivalent qualification (N/SVQ Level 5) in Ecology or a related subject. Have a minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience. Understanding, and experience in the application, of UK environmental legislation and policy. Experience in ecological field survey work (including to UKHab and protected species). Have up to date knowledge of, and familiarity with, survey guidance for a range of protected species. Experience in report writing (including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, management plans and Ecological Impact Assessments), and development of mitigation measures.
