A leading real estate investment firm focused on income-generating commercial assets across Europe is seeking a Senior Investment / Transactions Manager to source and lead large-scale real estate transactions. The role is based in London and will require frequent travel across the UK, potentially opening up to Europe to source, negotiate, and execute high-value property deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing & Origination: Identify and source large-scale real estate acquisition opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with investors, developers, brokers, and institutional partners. Leverage an extensive network to find off-market investment opportunities.
- Transaction Structuring & Execution: Lead negotiations for Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs) and Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) structures. Collaborate with internal teams (legal, finance, asset management) to execute complex transactions. Work with lenders and investment partners on structured financing and debt arrangements.
- Financial Analysis & Due Diligence: Perform detailed financial modeling, underwriting, and valuation of potential acquisitions. Conduct due diligence on asset performance, legal issues, and financial structures. Present investment cases to senior leadership and board members.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy: Stay ahead of market trends, real estate cycles, and competitor activities. Provide strategic input into investment decisions and portfolio growth. Ensure compliance with European regulatory requirements on transactions.
Candidate Profile: What We're Looking For
- Experience in Large-Scale Acquisitions: 7+ years of experience in real estate private equity, investment banking (real estate division), REITs, or institutional real estate investment. Proven track record in structuring and closing complex property transactions across multiple jurisdictions. Strong understanding of SPVs, JVs, structured financing, and debt capital markets.
- Financial & Analytical Acumen: Expertise in real estate financial modeling (IRR, NPV, capital stack analysis, lease modeling, and underwriting). Proficiency in Excel, Argus, and financial modeling tools. Ability to assess risk-adjusted returns and optimize capital structures.
- Business Development & Networking: Established network within the European real estate investment market (institutional investors, brokers, developers, lenders). Experience in sourcing off-market real estate transactions and developing strategic partnerships.
- Work Ethic & Adaptability: Used to long working hours in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Comfortable with frequent travel when necessary. Highly ambitious, self-driven, and motivated to deliver results.
Languages: Fluency in English is required. German, Dutch, or other European languages are a plus but not mandatory.
