FD Recruit is partnering with a client in Cheshire to engage a portfolio Finance Director. This is a very hands-on role so would also suit a Financial Controller or Head of Finance. Our client is a small, privately owned manufacturing company. This engagement will involve conducting an initial review of the business in terms of their accounts over a few days and putting in place a plan for improving the finance function. The contract may also be extended to oversee the implementation of the plan.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct a review of the finance function highlighting any issues.
- Highlight what will be required to bring the accounts up to date.
- Identify any areas of improvement required and present a plan to implement improvements.
- Propose solutions for automating processes within the finance function.
- Put in place management reporting and a monthly process for the production of management accounts.
To be successful in this engagement the candidate must have the following experience:
- CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant. QBE also considered.
- Ability to hit the ground running and conduct a review of the business.
- Experience of identifying issues and proposing corrective measures.
- Experience of automating financial processes to improve efficiency.
- Ability to work in the detail and in a hands-on capacity.
The rate advertised for this role is a guideline and the rate offered will be commensurate with experience.
