The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Reporting to the Editorial Director, the Medical Writer will join a growing team focused on delivering outputs from strategic publication plans. The Medical Writer will contribute to accurate and engaging publications that disseminate the latest scientific and clinical data from a range of novel radiopharmaceuticals that have scope to revolutionise management of patients with cancer.

Main Responsibilities, Activities, Duties and Tasks

  • Take ownership (with support from the senior team) for the delivery of a range of medical and scientific deliverables including, but not limited to, manuscripts, abstracts and meeting presentations that meet business needs, internal quality standards and timelines.
  • Take on board feedback from scientific and editorial review; incorporating editorial comments and resolving queries where raised.
  • Ensure that editorial style is appropriate, consistent within and between documents, and of the highest standard.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with authors, thought leaders and internal teams.
  • Other duties as determined by business needs.

Education

A science degree (PhD advantageous) in a life science subject.

Professional Experience, Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • 1–2 years of writing experience within a medical communications or pharmaceutical company.
  • Experience in prostate cancer, neuro-oncology, or medical imaging (desirable, not essential).
  • Able to demonstrate and apply knowledge of the current publication environment, ICMJE, GPP, and other relevant guidelines related to scientific data dissemination.
  • Excellent scientific writing style and with skills to adapt content and style for different audiences.
