Are you an experienced Ocean Freight Operator looking to take the next step in your career? We are a dynamic and growing logistics company based in Wythenshawe, and we are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to join our team.
As an Ocean Freight Operator, you will play a key role in managing imports from origin through to final delivery, with some export responsibilities. You will be responsible for quoting, creating bookings, raising commercial invoices, and handling all relevant documentation to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee import operations, from origin to final delivery, ensuring all processes run smoothly.
- Handle some export operations, although this is not a key focus of the role.
- Prepare and send accurate quotes to customers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely responses.
- Create and manage bookings, coordinating with carriers and shipping agents to ensure deadlines are met.
- Raise commercial invoices and ensure the correct documentation is produced for each shipment.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures.
