We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Staffing Manager to oversee our recruitment processes alongside managing our deployment and staff communications. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a similar role and will be able to hit the ground running as we kick off for a busy summer season.
Duties
- Develop and implement effective staffing strategies to meet hiring needs.
- Manage staff recruitment from interview to onboarding, including shortlisting candidates and scheduling and conducting interviews.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all members of staff.
- Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications and fit for the business.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Complete Right to Work checks ensuring documentation is correctly recorded.
- Ensure employee information is accurate and up to date on our staff system, Parim.
- First point of contact for staff communication.
- Responsible for uploading events and shift information on to staffing software, Parim.
- Responsible for staff deployment and the allocation of shifts on staffing software, Parim.
- Creating, maintaining and managing staff sheets for all jobs.
- Ensure that staff sheets and schedule are accurate and correspond correctly to agreed contracts.
- Ensure that the workforce receive the required information about their assignments.
- Ensure our contractual staffing requirements for all clients are fulfilled.
- Identify and book staff for training sessions within budget.
- Booking and managing deployments of our preferred staffing suppliers.
- Collate and verify hours for payroll purposes.
- Manage grievance and disciplinary processes.
- Managing pension processes for zero-hour contract employees.
- Manage the Staffing Team and oversee their duties.
Skills
- Proven experience in staffing or recruitment management, preferably within the events industry with zero-hour contracts.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
- Familiarity with staffing software systems such as Parim is advantageous.
- A background in Human Resources is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Tact and diplomacy.
- The ability to develop strong working relationships and drive collaboration.
- Good understanding of relevant employment laws and GDPR.
- Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office.
Working Hours
Monday-Friday: 09:00 - 17:30
Out of Hours Responsibilities: There will be a requirement for on-call out of hours cover which will be paid in addition to your salary.
