As our Production Manager, you’ll be instrumental in leading the production team in fulfilling client requirements. Reporting to the Site Lead, as Production Manager, you’ll oversee all things production (single shift 7.45 – 16.00), with a particular focus on the people. Working closely with the QHSE Manager, Engineering and Customer Service Manager to ensure we give as high a quality service as possible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager – Packaging Manufacturer
As our Production Manager, you will:
· Manage the full production / operations process with a team of 18.
· Continue the move away from ‘we’ve always done it this way’ culture.
· Have a continuous improvement approach to the operation, looking for opportunities to develop current processes and procedures.
· Review and manage KPIs ensuring they are fit for purpose (current OTIF is 96%)
· Work closely with engineering to ensure planned maintenance and maximise machinery efficiency and capability.
· Work with the QHSE Manager in the application for BRC qualification and maintaining ISO 9001 / 14001 and 45001.
To be successful in your application, you’ll have a proven track record within a manufacturing facility. You could be an established people leader with the core skills to engaging others and drive performance, or a Team Leader or Supervisor looking to step up. You’ll be intrigued and excited by various methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and 5S and how these could benefit your approach., · Worked in a manufacturing environment, the closer to packaging the better but you could be from food, automotive, print, chemicals, industrial components, etc.
· Managed a team with a supportive, collaborative and empowering approach.
· The ability to demonstrate changes you’ve implemented to improve a process and efficiency.
· Managed budgets, making analytical commercially driven decisions.
