An exciting opportunity for an in-house lawyer to join a prominent UK food producer and supplier, as the business’s first legal hire. The company is looking for a lawyer to support with a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters., * Stay up to date and advise on pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting the food sector.

Contribute to updating, developing and implementing internal policies and procedures as well as providing the relevant training to internal stakeholders

Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including but not limited to, service agreements, licensing agreements and vendor contracts.

Providing legal advice to internal stakeholders regarding contract interpretation, rights, and obligations.

Collaborate with internal departments in various European countries, aligning legal regulations across the jurisdictions.

Support with a range of corporate matters such as transactions, M&A and JV’s.

Assist with dispute resolutions and litigation matters.

Manage external counsel.

Support with corporate governance activities and company secretarial matters.
The role will be 3 days per week to start, transitioning to full-time in approximately a year. The ideal candidate will be flexible and hard working with a desire to help shape the role and evolve with the business in the coming years., * 3 PQE+ as a guideline
