An exciting opportunity for an in-house lawyer to join a prominent UK food producer and supplier, as the business’s first legal hire. The company is looking for a lawyer to support with a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters., * Stay up to date and advise on pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting the food sector.

  • Contribute to updating, developing and implementing internal policies and procedures as well as providing the relevant training to internal stakeholders

  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including but not limited to, service agreements, licensing agreements and vendor contracts.

  • Providing legal advice to internal stakeholders regarding contract interpretation, rights, and obligations.

  • Collaborate with internal departments in various European countries, aligning legal regulations across the jurisdictions.

  • Support with a range of corporate matters such as transactions, M&A and JV’s.

  • Assist with dispute resolutions and litigation matters.

  • Manage external counsel.

  • Support with corporate governance activities and company secretarial matters.

The role will be 3 days per week to start, transitioning to full-time in approximately a year. The ideal candidate will be flexible and hard working with a desire to help shape the role and evolve with the business in the coming years., * 3 PQE+ as a guideline
