We have a requirement for a Material Technologist in an exciting manufacturing company in the Lisburn area.
Your new company has over 150 years of manufacturing top quality, exciting and innovative products on a global scale. They supply their products to various sectors, including aerospace and marine. Due to growth, they have a requirement in the Materials Department.
Your new role: As Material Technologist, you will be part of the quality team. You will be included in the preparation and testing of material samples under evaluation, testing of production batches submitted to the laboratory, assisting the Materials Technologist in dealing with the calibration of internal lab equipment, and undertaking a range of weekly routines as well as documentation to assist in the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the lab.
What you'll need to succeed: Ideally, you will have practical experience of working in a Materials Technology, Manufacturing or Laboratory environment in a technical-related role. You will have a working knowledge of Quality Systems and Procedures. Excellent IT and communication skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are essential. A degree (or equivalent) in a Materials/Science related discipline would be a real benefit, but is not essential. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills.
