Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our client’s site at their manufacturing site near Leicester.
The Production Planner will be a key team player within the Operations Team, responsible for manufacturing and logistics planning on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities as Production Planner:
- Responsible for ensuring daily production and logistics plans are completed.
- Interface between Business Assistants, Customer Service and Production.
- Ensure correct and timely requests for raw materials are maintained and supply issues escalated to the Management team.
- Build relationship with suppliers to source and negotiate materials costs and supply.
- Order raw materials and coordinate the delivery schedule.
- Coordinate transport stream for finished products and samples through 3PL management, this will include the raising of order documents and PO’s.
- Responsible for raising any stock issues when they arise.
- Work in accordance with company’s values, HR and HS&E policies: instructions, minimum requirements and guidelines.

Skills required Production and Logistics planner:
- Previous experience within a similar role, a minimum of 2 year’s experience
