Our customer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fluent German-speaking HR Administrator to join their team for a 6-month fixed-term contract with excellent possibility of extension for the right applicant. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic HR environment. The role will be based in Glasgow and offered on a flexible hybrid working basis. The successful applicant will mainly be supporting the HR team based in Germany, so fluency in both written and spoken German is fundamental.

This opportunity offers excellent exposure to HR processes, employee lifecycle administration, and international HR operations—all while using your German language skills daily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to HR queries and provide guidance on contracts and benefits.
  • Process HR transactions across the employee lifecycle (Onboarding, Lifecycle, Offboarding) within SLAs.
  • Generate contracts, audit Right to Work docs, and assist with pre-employment screening.
  • Input new hire details into SAP and update payroll and benefits systems.
  • Manage employee documentation, benefits enrolment, and contract changes.
  • Handle reference requests, ensure confidentiality, and support compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist with HR projects and process improvements.
Experience:
  • Strong background in HR operations or a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with colleagues across HR.
  • Experience supporting global teams is a plus, particularly with Germany-based operations.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Fluency in both written and spoken German is essential, as you'll be supporting the team in Germany.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, with high accuracy in data input.
  • Logical and competent approach to problem-solving and understanding processes.
  • Previous HR background, with a solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and systems.
