We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity to support young learners in a nurturing environment, helping them develop the foundations for lifelong learning.

EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Burnley
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Start Date: January – as soon as possible

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where needed.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and parents to promote positive outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children in an Early Years setting (school or nursery).
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance) are desirable.
