As a collection and delivery driver for DPD, you will often be the first point of contact that our customers have with us, so providing a great service when you collect or hand over a parcel is just as important as collecting or delivering the parcel on time. You are vital to providing a service that genuinely makes a difference to our customers.
- Drive a 5 tonne vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading parcels at the depot at the start and end of each shift.
- Follow a daily delivery and collection schedule, typically consisting of 50-60 stops around the designated area.
- Utilise the provided sack barrow/hand truck for heavier items to ensure safe handling of parcels.
- Adhere to strict time schedules to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all parcels in your care throughout your shift.
- Collaborate with depot staff and other drivers to optimise delivery routes and processes.
- Represent DPD in a professional manner at all times, including wearing the provided uniform and maintaining a tidy appearance.
