Contract Type: Full-time £56,000 - £63,000

We have a very exciting opportunity for an innovative and inspirational leader to join a successful and forward-thinking SEN school. We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher with the drive, vision and commitment to excellence. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement the school's vision for SEN provision.
  • SEN Assessment: Oversee the identification, assessment, and tracking of students with SEN, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Teaching and Learning: Provide guidance and support to teaching staff in implementing effective teaching strategies for students with SEN.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community, ensuring they are well-informed and involved in their child's education.
  • Staff Development: Lead and support the professional development of staff members involved in SEN provision.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and a strong background in education.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing SEN provision within a school setting.
  • A deep understanding of SEN legislation, best practices, and strategies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
