The predicted salary is between 36000 - 43000 £ per year.

The role is based in Wandsworth, London, with a salary range of £42,192 - £51,127 per annum for a permanent full-time position (36 hours). The School Social Work Team consists of 10 Social Workers across 20 educational establishments in Wandsworth, working directly with children and young people in their school setting, as well as with teachers and other school staff.

In this unique role, you will work independently with an average of 15 children and young people, focusing on preventative work to identify children earlier and avoid the need for statutory interventions. You will build relationships with children, staff, and the wider school community in two schools, forging links with services in the community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating a flexible and creative approach to support children and young people.
  • Planning and leading initiatives focused on safeguarding children.
  • Implementing appropriate interventions and activities in a school setting.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience required:

  • Qualified social worker with relevant systemic practice experience working with children and young people in care.
  • Ability to sensitively support children of different ages and lived experiences.
  • Motivation to make a positive contribution to the lives of children and young people.
