The Manager, Product Design is a mid-level role responsible for independently contributing to the design of user-centric, scalable, and accessible digital products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design solutions while also mentoring junior designers and contributing to team success.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Design:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to design user-centric products, ensuring they meet high standards of usability, accessibility, and visual coherence.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from usability testing, analytics, and stakeholder input.
  • Work within the WPP Design System to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
  • Contribute to the delivery of polished, production-ready designs that meet accessibility and usability standards.

Team Contribution:

  • Actively participate in design reviews, offering constructive feedback to elevate the quality of the team's work.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, contributing to a strong design culture.

Process & Design Systems:

  • Adhere to established design processes to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
  • Ensure consistency across all product designs by advocating for and adopting the WPP Design System.
  • Ensure designs are implemented accurately and consistently by collaborating with engineers during development.

User Research & Insights:

  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
  • Advocate for data-driven design, ensuring research findings translate into actionable improvements.
  • Collaborate with design researchers and data analysts to gather user insights and validate design decisions.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align design efforts with product roadmaps and business objectives.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to peers and stakeholders, clearly articulating the 'why' behind your decisions.
  • Seek and incorporate feedback from designers, product managers, and engineers to refine and improve solutions.
