My client is a well respected and established provider of software for the manufacturing and production industries. Due to expansion they are looking to add a Sales Development Representative into their sales team, to focus on outbound sales to both existing and potential new customers.
The Role:
- You will be reaching out to the 200+ existing customers to understand any additional needs for other modules or services.
- There is a large database of potential customers that have either previously enquired or have had some earlier conversation that can be targeted as warm leads.
- Identify potential customers through research using LinkedIn and trade literature and undertake outreach using multi-channel methods to create additional sales opportunities.
- Some cold calling will be involved, but this won’t be the bulk of your role.
- Attend trade shows and conferences to learn more about the industry and identify and talk to prospects and existing customers.
- You will take the sales process as far as booking an appointment or demonstration with one of the wider sales team, with the expectation that this will develop into a 360-degree Sales Executive role.
This is a home-based position and you will be provided with a laptop, phone etc. to enable you to work remotely. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5pm.
The Person:
- We are looking for someone with strong B2B sales experience who is an active listener and can build great relationships.
- You will need to be self-motivated and organised as this is a remote position and be comfortable with the fact that you will only be taking the sales process as far as the demo/meeting stage.
- Experience selling software or into the manufacturing/production sector would be a benefit but isn’t a requirement as there is great product training available.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Experience using a CRM system would be a huge benefit and you will be results motivated and driven to progress your career in sales.
The Package:
- A basic salary up to £30,000 is offered with an OTE of an extra £9,000 for 100% of target, but this is uncapped with potential to earn more.
- Life assurance, health insurance and a medical insurance cash plan are also included.
- Personal travel insurance plus a cycle to work scheme and electric/hybrid vehicle scheme are also available.
- 25 days holiday, pension and extended illness pay are offered.
