A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our client on a temporary - permanent basis. You will support a team of high-performing fundraisers, in coordinating major gift strategies, ensuring deadlines are met, and working with multiple stakeholders to achieve comprehensive campaign goals in a fast-paced environment.
Project Officer Responsibilities
- Proactively produce and maintain accurate information to support the fundraising team and key stakeholders, ensuring all necessary papers are received and background research/briefings are arranged for relevant meetings.
- Provide project support for the strategy and fundraising activities, including research, monitoring project progress, coordinating reports, and managing engagement activities.
- Prepare, collate, and distribute all necessary paperwork (agendas, charts, spreadsheets) required for and by the team.
- Coordinate diaries and logistics for donor visits, including arranging national and international travel, managing itineraries, and ensuring the event runs smoothly, including managing any last-minute changes.
- Take minutes at meetings and quickly produce reports, presentations, letters, and other documents, ensuring timely follow-up actions are completed.
- Utilise and update the database to manage, analyse, and present key information, helping inform strategy and fundraising activities.
- Manage correspondence related to the Principal Gifts team priorities (emails, phone calls, etc.), prioritising urgent matters, taking action when possible and drafting responses.
- Collaborate with other departments, to ensure that all aspects of fundraising are aligned and executed with consistency and quality.
Project Officer Requirements
- This position is ideal for an individual with proven experience in project coordination or administration, particularly in a fast-paced environment within a large and complex organisation.
- Highly proactive with excellent organisational skills, able to produce work to the highest standards with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, including a high level of proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for managing and analysing spreadsheets.
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels, with the confidence to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- A self-starter, capable of thinking on your feet and solving problems as they arise.
- Able to manage a varied and busy workload efficiently while maintaining motivation and focus under pressure.
- Able to work independently, using initiative to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and take action without direct supervision.
