The Modern Apprenticeship Programme is targeted at building our workforce of the future. Funding for training is available for applicants aged 16-19 and 20-24 (depending on the framework) and for disabled and care-experienced applicants between the age of 16-29. Please ensure, if you are applying for a Modern Apprentice post, that you meet one of these criteria.
Roles that require PVG Membership: Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.
Job purpose/about the role: The postholder will support and assist with a variety of tasks and projects in the Customer Service Operations team that will widen their knowledge and experience in this service area, alongside completing a Modern Apprenticeship framework. The postholder will assist in the smooth running of functions pertaining to customer service frontline teams, maintaining a consistently high level of customer care. Dealing with customer enquiries in a helpful and friendly manner.
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
- Good written/numerical and/or Customer Service skills gained through either Standard Grades/National 4 qualification(s) or Relevant work experience
The postholder is able to demonstrate:
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Self-motivated team player
- Ability to grasp new topics quickly on a self-taught basis
- Ability to communicate effectively, including non-verbal, verbal and written forms of communication
- Ability to use ICT systems and programmes, such as Microsoft Office
