A vacancy has arisen for a legal secretary to support our expanding Commercial Real Estate, Energy, Rural and Planning Teams based in our Glasgow office.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting client advisors with all aspects of client onboarding and file opening
- Assist client advisors in the billing and credit control process
- Arranging meetings and appointments both internally and externally
- Booking travel and meetings
- Producing PowerPoint presentations, organisational charts, mail merges, Excel spreadsheets and editing PDFs
- Managing production of formal offers for issuing
- Dealing with routine mail/cover letters etc (complex documents are supported by the Document Production team)
- Handle client telephone enquiries in a polite & professional manner within the agreed timescales
- General administration
- Liaising with lawyers to identify their work commitments and prioritise work accordingly
- Diary Management
- Participate in projects at the discretion of management
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
- Experience of dealing directly with clients by telephone
- Legal Secretarial experience within a commercial environment would be advantageous
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines under pressure
- Ability to use initiative
- Attention to detail
