We are looking for a dedicated and professional Concierge to join our team, providing a first-class service to residents, visitors, and contractors. The Concierge will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the development, acting as the first point of contact while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, professional welcome to all residents, visitors, and contractors as the Concierge
- Act as the first point of contact for general enquiries, complaints, and requests, maintaining a helpful and solution-focused Concierge service
- Build and maintain a network of local contacts to provide high-quality recommendations to residents
- Report faults, damage, and maintenance issues, contributing to the upkeep of the building
- Work closely with cleaning and grounds maintenance contractors to ensure the development remains clean and safe
- Carry out monthly meter readings, update notice boards, and handle ad-hoc meter reading requests
- Handle unplanned cleaning emergencies (e.g., spillages or accidents) in communal areas when required
- Proactively resolve minor maintenance issues before escalating
- Oversee the parcel and delivery management system, ensuring parcels are received, securely stored, and distributed according to Concierge procedures
- Manage car parking arrangements to ensure smooth operation
- Maintain a secure key management system, issuing and logging keys in line with company procedures
- Coordinate and supervise access for service providers, utility companies, and maintenance contractors
- Conduct regular building patrols, monitor CCTV systems, and complete routine safety checks as part of your Concierge duties
- Manage lost property and assist residents in locating missing items
- Complete weekly fire alarm tests and monitor temporary fire alarm systems
- Assist with bin rotations and ensure bin chutes are kept clear
- Provide detailed handovers to follow-on Concierge staff to ensure continuity
- Keep residents informed of maintenance updates and compliance issues
- Support property management by conducting viewings, inspections, and appointments when required
Essential Requirements
- A valid UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience in a Concierge or customer service-related role is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle complaints professionally
