KOKO is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing / Project Manager with outstanding project management skills, for a 12 month maternity leave contract, starting July 2025, reporting into the Director of Marketing and Communications.
The Senior Marketing Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing, project managing and executing all day-to-day marketing initiatives, to drive brand awareness, customer engagement and acquisition, and revenue growth across KOKO, The House of KOKO and Cafe KOKO.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overseeing and leading multiple teams and projects simultaneously, with prior experience managing digital product teams as well as design teams. Proficiency in project management tools such as Asana, Jira, or Monday.com will be essential for coordinating teams and workflows effectively.
Responsibilities also include assisting with budget management, planning and executing marketing campaigns aligned with commercial goals and managing a team of seven.
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be an exceptional multi-tasker and possess outstanding management and people skills with an excellent understanding of the digital marketing tools and platforms.
You will be using KOKO’s various platforms; Salesforce, Peoplevine, Sevenrooms, Square, See Tickets, Dice, Resident Advisor.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Lead the design and digital teams, making sure workflow is constantly updated and priorities are met, managing key stakeholders carefully. Line manager to 3 (Digital Product Manager, Lead Designer, CRM Manager). Manage the holiday diary for marketing team (10 people), flagging resource issues with the Director of Marketing and Communications. Encourage a positive and supportive culture, ensuring a results-driven approach that assists both individual and team growth. Establish clear goals, KPIs, and performance metrics, providing regular feedback and evaluations to drive success.
- Commercial Targets & Marketing Strategy: Work with the Marketing and Communications Director to align marketing plans with sales objectives to ensure consistent pipeline growth and revenue generation. Monitor and report (monthly) on key performance metrics to assess alignment with revenue goals. Oversee the planning, execution, and performance of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, content, email and traditional channels. Work cross-functionally to coordinate with internal teams (KOKO Studios, Cultural Events, Membership, Music) to create effective launches, announcements and promotional campaigns.
- Budget Management: Assist in the management of the marketing budget, updating budget tracker and reconciling monthly. Assist in allocation of resources in relation to the budget.
- Design: Manage a team of three designers at varying levels, working across UX design, branding, content creation (motion graphics and video), illustration, typography, and other specialities. Lead project and task allocation with commercial business objectives in mind, including daily, weekly, and monthly sprint reviews, reporting to Dir of Marketing and Communications. Manage stakeholder expectations on deliverables and deadlines, including C-suite executives. Oversee freelancers to ensure the team is adequately supported, particularly during peak periods and holidays. Occasionally brief the team on behalf of third parties or other team members when assets are requested in non-design meetings, such as board meetings or HOD meetings.
- Digital: Lead digital marketing efforts, including email marketing and online advertising, to maximize digital presence and audience reach. Oversee website content management, ensuring that event information is up-to-date, visually appealing, and optimized for SEO. Manage a team of three, one product and one junior product manager and a CRM manager. Liaise with external stakeholders when ad hoc work is required, specifically on Salesforce Marketing and Sales Cloud. Lead project and task allocation with commercial business objectives in mind, including daily, weekly, and monthly sprint reviews. Tasks vary from: Website and app development, Software and system changes, including bug fixes and Q&As, API integrations and maintenance, Salesforce ad hoc product creation (forms, cloud pages, journeys, reports etc.). Manage stakeholder expectations on deliverables and deadlines, including C-level executives. Lead a monthly digital insights meeting with wider marketing to provide actionable insights which inform the strategy.
Experience with Square, SevenRooms, See Tickets, Dice, Resident Advisor, Toast and other CRM or hospitality platforms is an advantage. Please specify in your CV which platforms you have worked with from a technical/developer perspective. Experience with Salesforce Marketing and Sales Cloud is highly beneficial. Alternatively, strong proficiency in HubSpot, Adobe Campaigns is also relevant.
