Project Document Control Manager
Term: 12 months (extension likely)
Pay: £65 per hour via Umbrella (35 hours per week)

At their extensive dockyard facility in Devonport, they specialize in the maintenance, refit, and support of naval vessels, ensuring operational readiness and excellence. They are now seeking a Document Control Manager to support the management of documents for a large scale capital programme!
Job Responsibilities:
- Take the lead for ensuring the programme way of working
- Maintain Contractor Transmittal Register.
- Liaise with Project Engineers and Project Package Managers.
- Liaise with Contractor Document Control.
- Liaise with Client Document Control.
- Create and circulate weekly reports from the Client’s BIM Dashboard Reporting System (BDRS) to highlight the progress of document approval within the Client’s EDMS (AutoDesk Vault).
- Use the BDRS to track deliverable work-flow progress to ensure that the Client process is followed correctly.
- Support Project team in the use of the Client’s EDMS (AutoDesk Vault).
- Complete Transmittal Request Form and issue them to the Client Document Control Team.
- QA Checking Contractor deliverables.
- Raising Transmittal Request Forms to Client Document Control team.
- Request necessary support from the Project Management Team when required.
- Liaise and support Client Document Control Team in decision making and support activities.
- Ensure compliance with Client’s Document Control processes and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Strong experience in document control process, ideally in a large scale project environment.
- Mandatory Courses: Site Induction, Fire Safety, Diversity, Display Screen Equipment, Business Ethics & Conduct Awareness, Acceptable Use Policy, Anti-Bribery, Cyber-Security, Data Protection, Trade Controls Awareness, Introduction to Sustainability in Babcock.
- Strong desire for taking initiative with work and offering suggestions to improve internal processes.
