About the role:

Working in partnership with our client, you will provide leadership and development to a dedicated team centred around design/creative art working. You will demonstrate effective daily management of the OLIVER team on-site; providing direction, key decision-making, support and guidance as needed. You will be accountable and responsible for the financial management of the team via regular creation of Management Information reports and various performance metrics. You will be responsible for the generation and maintenance of ongoing effective working relationships with client stakeholders, regularly communicating with them on progress.

Reporting to the Account Director, you’ll be working in a team of eight, mostly based in London and Wisley, with additional offshore support located in India. Working alongside an Account Director, Designer, Integrated Artworker, Copywriter, Motion Graphics Designer, and an Integrated Designer, you’ll need the ability to guide a team across these time zone challenges.

What you will be doing:

  • Overall leadership of the team, in collaboration with clients and supporting Account Director.
  • Financial oversight of all aspects of the engagement, in partnership with client stakeholders and internal agency departments.
  • Maintaining a culture of accountability and collaboration, including successful delivery against agreed performance and operational KPIs.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • At least 6+ years of design leadership experience in Digital, Print, Social, Motion Graphics, Artwork Production.
  • Experience in social, corporate communications, or public relationship functions for client organisations.
  • Demonstrates creative and strategic acumen.
  • 4-6 years of experience overseeing an agency team.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment, ability to step into projects as needed.

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

  • Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrable, strong experience designing and producing marketing collateral in the form of print and digital assets, out of home and social media channels.
  • The ability to manage and develop junior team members providing mentoring.
  • An aptitude for filtering, prioritising and managing workflow to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Knowledge of account management and invoicing.
  • Creative ability with strong Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
