About Us L E Engineering Ltd (LEEL) provides a range of services, including projects, installations, servicing, and both planned and reactive maintenance. We work with clients predominantly in the industrial sectors, including petrochemical, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), food and beverage manufacturing, production, process industries, and bulk liquid storage. Role Overview As the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor, you will lead and supervise a small team of Mechanical Engineers. This role is primarily hands-on, with a combination of technical and supervisory duties, alongside some necessary administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities * Lead and supervise a team of Mechanical Engineers, ensuring quality and efficiency. * Work directly with clients to coordinate activities, manage expectations, and deliver high standards of service. * Plan and organise work activities, including scheduling and resource allocation. * Source and procure materials as needed. * Provide technical support and problem-solving expertise for the team. * Complete necessary administrative tasks, including reports and records. Ideal Candidate Profile * Experience: Proven experience in supervising mechanical engineering teams, preferably within industrial sectors. Familiarity with steam plants, pumps, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and detailed fitting is highly valued. * Qualifications: HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering. BOAS qualification/training and previous health and safety training are preferred. * Skills: Strong technical acumen, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to challenges. Ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating confidence and professionalism at all times. * Other Requirements: * Time-served in a similar role. * Full clean UK driver’s license. * Must have authorization to work in the UK. * Personal hand tools are required.
