Working with a Senior Portfolio Manager, the quantitative researcher will have optics into the entire investment process, developing mid-frequency systematic strategies to be used in a macro trading environment.
- Contribute new signals/strategies to the systematic macro book as well as enhancing the existing strategies.
- Employ statistical & quantitative approaches to complete assignments.
- Work in collaboration with the central quant research/dev team to develop analytical models and tools.
The successful candidate should possess:
- A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Math, Sciences or Statistics is required. A PhD would be preferred but isn't a prerequisite.
- A minimum of 2+ years’ relevant experience working in a similar capacity at a hedge fund or prop trading house is preferred but the hiring manager will also consider exceptional sell-side talent with a systematic strategies background (QIS / systematic trading).
- In-depth expertise of global financial markets and products - the PM is open to asset classes (rates, FX, commodities, equities) providing an individual is happy to work in a macro environment.
- A high degree of technical aptitude with advanced programming skills in Python being essential.
- Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to operate seamlessly between quant and investment professionals.
