The predicted salary is between 42000 - 58000 £ per year.

We are looking for a motivated, inquisitive and detail-orientated Cost Engineer to join our small, friendly and dynamic team working within the Manufacturing organisation.

Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

The opportunity:

  • You will build a network across numerous functions within the business to enable you to generate robust cost data that will assist:
  • Manufacturing with forecast production costs followed by whole life cycle analysis
  • Bid Teams and future business
  • Design to cost
  • Working with Design and Manufacturing stakeholders at all levels
  • Responsible for generating and maintaining Business Cost Forecasting documents throughout the whole life cycle of the project/equipment
  • Analysis of cost data for reporting back to the business
  • Question information that is being used to ensure robust forecasting and transparency
  • Lead and Facilitate meetings
  • Challenge current forecasting processes for continuous improvement
  • What we're looking for from you:

    • Educated to HNC/HND standard or equivalent
    • A strong background in engineering/manufacturing is essential.
    • Experience of estimating/cost engineering is desirable.
    • Relevant production life cycle experience is highly desirable.
    • A sound appreciation of manufacturing processes is important.
    • Good level of influencing, negotiating and persuasiveness with the ability to adapt style in different situations.
    • Skilled in managing deadlines with the ability to multi-task and prioritise own work and work of others.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Able to assimilate facts from a range of sources.
    • Self-motivated with the resilience and tenacity to deliver results through others.
