The Role: What You'll Be Doing

As Farm Manager, you will take full responsibility for the root vegetable farming operations, ensuring the entire process-from establishment to harvest-is executed with precision and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the planting, irrigation, crop management, and harvesting of root vegetables.
  • Managing day-to-day farm operations to optimise productivity and crop quality.
  • Leading and motivating a team of 10-15 employees, including skilled operators, placement students, and seasonal staff.
  • Working closely with the Farm Director to implement efficient and sustainable farming practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations, maintaining high standards of welfare for both staff and crops.
  • Supporting all aspects of the broader farming operation, contributing to long-term business growth.
