We are seeking a dedicated and passionate HLTA to join the team at a respected SEN college in Warrington for a 4 week position with a view to becoming more permanent. The college supports students aged 16–19 with a vision to nurture and develop students’ potential, preparing them for life and meaningful employment. Students have a range of additional needs, including severe learning difficulties, complex learning difficulties, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
SEN HLTA Responsibilities:
- Support students with a range of SEN in the classroom and in small groups or 1:1 sessions.
- Assist with planning and delivering lessons tailored to students’ needs.
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers and staff to monitor student progress.
- Help students with social, emotional, and academic development.
The ideal candidate will have:
- HLTA qualification (or relevant experience) and a passion for working with SEN students.
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
- Good communication skills and a patient, flexible approach.
A commitment to supporting students' development and learning.
